Leaf 4317 in Blue
This leaf was in my front yard. It was a cold, gray, windy day toward the end of autumn. I liked its shape, and I picked it up and brought it in the house where it sat on the dining room table for a few days. One morning the sun streamed brightly through the south-facing windows, and I moved the leaf toward that light. I set it on a piece of heavy watercolor paper and rotated it, loving the textures, the skeleton, the undulations. This leaf holds a story of life itself. This is a monochromatic print with cyan/blue tonality, rich darks, bright highlights, and a grainy texture. Equipment: Fujifilm X-E3, Fujifilm 50mm lens, tripod.
