Sencha, Sakamoto Koshun

A smooth Japanese green tea with a vibrant, herbal flavor profile and a refined, lingering finish. Grown at 500 meters in Haruno-cho by third-generation tea farmer Mitsuo Sakamoto, this tea benefits from cool, misty conditions that intensify its flavor. Mr. Sakamoto's Koshun Sencha is made from the first spring harvest using the rare Koshun cultivara. The process involves lightly steaming the green tea followed by a wilting step that enhances its floral and fruity aroma.
