1920's Art Nouveau Exploding Numbers Dial 14k Gold Military History

An exceptionally rare and beautiful solid 14k gold oversized wristwatch in wonderful 1920's Art Nouveau style with a deeply curved tank style case, "exploding numbers" dial, hidden lugs and high quality swiss movement within, freshly serviced and keeping great time. This watch just oozes style and class from the era of Fedora hats and flapper dresses, with a side profile much like the famous Cartier Cintrèe with screws to hold the case together on each corner.  It has a fantastic presence on the wrist measuring in at 44mm top to bottom, curved to fit the shape of your wrist fitted with a simple black leather strap that is attached inside the case with two spring bars before the movement, crystal and bezel are screwed in place.  This example also has a beautiful hand engraved message on the back in Finnish, which roughly translated reads "Reino Grapelle, from the artillery comrades in the 11th field battery". Imagine the hero this man would have been to these men to deserve such a gift.
