Jossalyn — An Escaped Sheep

She had a tale to tell. I met Jossalyn during the Portrait Project, where I'd set up a table and invited passersby to sit for a quick interview and a portrait (done later in the studio). I asked her to tell a story. She told me about when her sheep escaped from her farm and she had to chase her down.  17" x 14" — Brush and Ink Jossalyn was so open with me, as only kids can be. She told the story like she might have told it to her friend. I really wanted to capture that openness and that youthful pleasure in life, when an escaped sheep becomes the best story of your life.
