Sarita — Climbing a Mountain

What's the greatest thing you've ever done? I met Sarita during the Portrait Project, where I'd set up a table and invited passersby to sit for a quick interview and a portrait (done later in the studio). I asked her to tell me the greatest thing she'd ever done. She said she'd climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.  17" x 14" — Brush and Ink No phones, no Instagram, she was 20, and she topped it. I wanted to capture that look in her eye, that hopefulness that allowed her to overcome the obstacles to summit the mountain.
