Seaview Sketches: Dune House

Up from the beach, the dunes give way to houses—low, weathered, holding the horizon. I set up in the sand and drew the lines of one house against the sky. The air felt still, though you could hear the faint call of gulls and the crash of waves just beyond. The drawing became about structure and quiet—the angles of the building, the softness of dune grass, the steady light overhead. A pause between the natural and the built.
