A few months after moving to Lana'i, I was invited to show at the Lahaina Arts Society's Banyan Tree Art show. Every weekend, 60+ artists set up displays--it was crazy fun, and gave Kat and me the experience we needed to start our own gallery on Lana'i. I painted this portrait of Kat over a weekend...the photos of us 22 years ago are by our friend Norm Bezane.
