In January 2009, MWC collaborated with a U.S. veterans association to recreate this legendary model. Using two original watches and their detailed specifications as references, MWC developed a modern homage. This recreation features a 24-jewel automatic movement with a hacking function, maintaining the spirit of the original hand-wound movements while incorporating a rotor for automatic self-winding. It also retains the ability for manual winding, offering versatility. In 2025, MWC further enhanced the GG-W-113 by upgrading the water resistance rating to 100m/330ft this upgrade along with the box sapphire crystal provides superior shatter and scratch resistance while preserving the authentic look of the plexiglass crystals used in the 1960s and 1970s.
