DJ CLASS 101: Spring #1 (3 Tiers)

DJ classes at Miyagi Records are back in 2025. Now with two 101 classes every session! THIS SESSION IS LIMITED TO 5 STUDENTS, SO ACT FAST!  In this 5-week course designed for Beginners, students will explore song structure, BPM / tempo, audio frequencies and how to manipulate them, beat-matching, working with vinyl setups (turntables, a mixer, dj needles), and an intro to digital setups (a dj controller, and Serato), and curating a proper set. The goal is by the end of this course, you will attain or solidify the basic skills needed to begin your path as a DJ. The course will be taught by one professional DJ instructor with support by an Assistant (who's also a pro!) Graduation will be held at Miyagi Records where each student will perform a 30-45 minute DJ set at our weekly "Selector Saturdays" event.
