Brown Spitting Spider (Scytodes fusca)

Brown spitting spiders (Scytodes fusca) are native to Central and South America but have been introduced to several temperate and tropical regions around the world. Spitting spiders have a unique method of hunting where they fling a sticky, venomous substance from their fangs onto their prey to capture and kill it. These interesting spiders are hardy and easy to care for. Currently available specimens are field-collected sub-adults and adults.
