In Bihar, a state in Northern India, many villages are located in a fertile agricultural area, but some of the land is prone to flooding. TEAR's partner Muneer is working with communities here to help empower them to be better prepared for floods and other natural disasters when they occur. Muneer has supported the community to form their own Village Disaster Mitigation Task Forces, organised training for these task forces and provided them with basic emergency supplies like first aid kits, life jackets, ropes and torches
