Visible Mending Workshop
SOLD OUT! Our March in-store workshop in collaboration with Soft Study. This beginner-friendly class is all about visible mending—the art of repairing clothes in a way that highlights the beauty of wear and care. We’ll cover basic hand-stitching techniques, patching methods, and an introduction to Sashiko, the traditional Japanese embroidery style that transforms rips into design features. Materials will be provided, but please bring a sturdy woven fabric garment (cotton, denim, linen, canvas, etc.) with small to medium-sized holes—think frayed elbows, worn-out knees, or little rips that need love. By the end of class, you’ll walk away with a solid foundation in decorative repair, a beautifully mended piece, and the skills to keep your wardrobe going strong. No prior sewing experience needed—just a willingness to stitch and experiment. Supplies, snacks & refreshments included.
