Item Number: P1 Size: 11" (27.9cm) (Andres, Andre, Andrea, Andreas) [1st Century], APOSTLE, was the brother of St. Peter and like him a fisherman in the Sea of Galilee. After arduous missionary journeys, he was martyred and buried in Greece. By popular tradition, St. Andrew is a patron of fishermen, of Greece, of Russia and of Scotland. By choice, he is patron of the monastic community, which makes these ceramics. His feast is November 30.
