Item Number: P117 Size: 10" (25.4cm) (Jacob, Jakob, Giacomo, Jacques, Santiago, Iago, Jaime, Diego, Diogo, Jaume) [died c. 62 AD], son of Alphaeus, cousin of our Lord and the first bishop of Jerusalem. He wrote one of the Epistles. St. Paul respected and consulted him and referred to him as "The Just." Tradition says he was thrown from the pinnacle of the temple by the Pharisees and then stoned to death. His symbols are the fuller's club (he is patron of fullers & hatters) and a book (his Epistle). He is also patron of Uruguay. His feast is May 3.
