Smith River in June is a limited edition of 200 fine art prints which are reproduced from a painting commissioned by Montana State Parks to celebrate their 75th Anniversary. Please note that in 2014 a poster version of the painting was available through Montana State Parks but it was very popular and has sold out. Read the artist's essay about the Smith River below: Smith River in June  by Monte Dolack It is a river with the familiar and commonplace name of Smith that flows North by Northwest from its source in the mysteriously named Crazies’ and Castle mountains, flowing and carving a gorge between the Big Belt and the little Belt mountains it cuts, as Norman Maclean said, “through the basement of time”.  I was able to float the Smith River this past June du
