The ER-2 suffered this fate, in these circumstances you can either retire the pedal or you can take the opportunity to redesign and improve the pedal... they opted for the latter.So, ER-2 Block 2 was born. Block 2 refers to the iterative process of improvement that aircraft go through during their service life. In this case, the ER-2 Block 2 has at its heart their same innovative take on the Univibe circuit but with a much-reduced current requirement so that it is more compatible with a larger variety of power supplies. The noise floor is just as low as it was before but the ability for the ER-2 Block 2 to absorb and relish aggressive fuzz and overdrive levels is greatly increased.
