Acer palmatum 'Fireball'Fireball Dwarf Japanese Maple Zones 5-9 'Fireball' is an interesting new red dwarf. It was found as a witches' broom near Cedarville, New Jersey, making this maple fairly cold tolerant. In the ground, 'Fireball' can withstand temperatures down to -15°F. In 15 years, this tree will reach 5 ft tall by 4 ft wide. Due to its small stature, this Japanese maple is ideal for fairy gardens, rail-road gardens, rock gardens, small conifer beds, and container planting. It leafs out a bright cherry red in the early spring, transforming to a deep maroon by mid-spring. All new growth on top is a bright cherry red overtop of this deep maroon. Some green-red tones appear by late spring, creating a wonderful contrast of colors. The name 'Fireball' is very fitting. In the fall, this Japanese maple will light up your yard when its leaves transform to a bright fire-engine red.  Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do
