Marc Anthony "I Need To Know" RIAA Platinum Single Award

RIAA Platinum Single Award for Marc Anthony track "I Need To Know". The track, from Anthony's first solo effort on which he sung in English, was released on August 16, 1999. Despite being officially only certified Gold by the RIAA (on Oct. 15, 1999) Columbia Records apparently had a Platinum award made, since this is presented to a (then) top Columbia executive.  "I Need To Know" hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart. It was also nominated for a Grammy award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and the  Spanish version of the song won a Latin Grammy award for Song of the Year.
