Yamaha EXI8 8 Controllable Mic Pres Analog expansion The Yamaha EXi8 is part of the MTX matrix processor series. These 1U Rackspace analog expansion units feature simple YDIF connection via Cat5 cable and analog interfacing on Euroblock connectors. Yamaha EXi8 input expanders convert analog microphone/line audio to digital and transmit the signal using Yamaha's YDIF format. The Yamaha EXi8's preamps can be controlled remotely from an MTX processor via Ethernet cable.
