G4 De Madera Blanco Tequila

  Fermentation of G4 De Madera Blanco Tequila occurs exclusively in wooden fermenters, giving it its namesake "Madera". This is the first tequila from El Pandillo to undergo 100% wood fermentation, a development that has Felipe Camarena feeling very enthusiastic. G4 (four generations), created by Felipe Camarena, is distilled at El Pandillo Distillery in Jesús María, Jalisco (Nom #1579). The agaves are cooked in one of two stone ovens on site for 22 hours and crushed in a handmade metal tahona known as "Felipestein" (nicknamed after Frankenstein). It is then double distilled in copper stills.
