Talisker The Distillers Edition Double Matured in Amoroso Seasoned American Oak Casks

Maturing first in American and European oak, and then finished in Amoroso seasoned re-charred American oak. Fresh sea air and seaweed are the intial notes on the nose, which develop into smoke and sultana notes. The palate is oily, with salty, peppery, smoke, and sweet dates, with an uplifiting chilli note. The finish is long, lingering and drying, with smoke and cocoa. TASTING NOTES COLOUR: Rich amber. Fine beading. Good viscosity. BODY: Full. FINISH: Long, powerful and while still sweet, now drying too, with lingering peat smoke and cocoa nibs.
