100 open-pollinated, non-gmo, pesticide-free, and heirloom bloomsdale spinach seeds (Spinacia oleracea) per packet. Thick and dark green leaves. Slow to bolt and ideal to grow in the spring and late summer. Nutritious and fast growing. Rumpled texture on leaves. Introduced to America in 1826 by the first commercial seed business. Grows in zones 3-12. Direct sow 0.5 in deep every 4 in. Sow as early as soil can be worked. Germination takes 5-14 days. Mulch around seedlings to prevent weeds. Thrives in cool temps. Grows well in shade. Sow every 2 weeks for continuous crops until hot summer temps. Sow again in late summer. 45 days to maturity. Seeds won’t germinate in hot temps. Keep soil moist but don’t overwater.
