The A-ES series, also called hybrid or bidirectional solar inverters, provides energy management in a PV system that includes solar modules, a battery, loads, and utility grid connection. Energy produced by the PV system is prioritized to supply loads and then any excess energy to charge the battery. When the battery is fully charged, excess energy can be exported to the utility grid (if permitted). The battery shall discharge to support loads when PV power is insufficient to meet selfconsumption needs.
