Jacques Valbrun (Haitian, 1938-1992) 16"x20" Abstract Marine 1991 Acrylic on Canvas Painting #1-2-95AN

The late famous Haitian painter Jacques Valbrun painted this original 16"x20" abstract marine scene acrylic on canvas in 1991. It is in good condition and belongs to a private collector in Florida, USA, where the painting will be shipped. Our gallery will issue a certificate of authenticity upon purchase.  The late Haitian master Jacques Valbrun was born in Martinique in 1938. At three years old, his family moved to Cap-Haitian, where he studied to be a Catholic brother. Later, he decided against the Brotherhood and attended Notre Dame and Philippe Guerrier High School. He began to paint in 1963 under the direction of painter-sculptor Jean Marques Valbrun in a surrealistic style. He has exhibited in Haiti and abroad. Valbrun passed away in Haiti in 1992 and left behind two sons who are also known painters: Johnny Valbrun and Reginald Valbrun.
