The first edition of this work, offered here, was published anonymously by Ichabod Nichols, Pastor of the First Church in Portland, Maine in 1829. A later edition published in 1831 in Boston by William Hyde bears his name. The work discusses the human body from a scientific point of view. It touches on some topics that would later be covered in Robert Chambers’ Vestiges of the Natural History of Creation that was first published anonymously in 1844. A rare work seldom offered.
