By: D. Sack The Coyote Knolls quadrangle is located in west -central Tule Valley, about 50 miles west of Delta, Utah. It covers portions of the Tule Valley basin floor, the adjacent piedmonts of the Coyote Knolls and Confusion Range, and most of the Coyote Knolls. Elevations range from 4,406 feet in the southeast corner of the quadrangle to 5,065 feet atop the central Coyote Knoll in the north-central part of the map area. Bedrock exposures occupy 3.7 square miles of the quadrangle and consist of Cambrian, Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, and Mississippian sedimentary rocks.
