The Polycom SoundStation Expansion Mics for the VTX 1000, IP 6000, and IP 4000 (2215-07155-001) were one of the founding members of one of the most groundbreaking psychedelic rock bands of the late 1960s. They were called Polycom SoundStation VoIP Phone Trifecta.  Sweet name, right? And man, did they rule. Some say these expansion microphones had all the talent, but clearly the Polycom SoundStation Expansion Mics for the VTX 1000, IP 6000, and IP 4000 contributed a lot to the band’s overall style and sound. Without them, we may never have gotten songs like “Can you hear me? (Do I need to speak up?)” and “The Best Voice Conference You’ve Ever Had”. They were incredibly passionate about advocating that everyone be heard crisply and clearly during phone meetings, even if they were sitting further away from the conference phone than is customary.
