The Ashfield Peg

This tenoned peg, with a long 2-11/16” projection is a Shaker invention that does its job of securely holding whatever is hung on it. However utilitarian and purposeful, its design is as simple as it is elegant – an authentic reproduction of Shaker originals. Measurements: 1-1/32" diameter x 2-11/16" projection x 3/4" base diameter + tenon 1/2" x 5/8" length Available in 3 wood species: Cherry, Maple, and Walnut Screws are not required – mount them by tapping the tenon base (covered with glue) into ½” holes evenly spaced 6” apart on any length of rail board.
