After a period of keen study was made of the Wallis’ methods, techniques and materials, Wildman started experimenting and painting out of curiosity using the same materials and techniques that Wallis used.It was not long before commissions were being taken from a growing clientele to produce works that were quite intentionally in the style of Alfred Wallis. An art gallery in the UK started started selling Wildman's work under the pseudonym “Old Jack”. As interest in Wildman's work aka Old Jack has continued to grow, this Chichester-based artist’s has been in featured in galleries throughout the UK and popular with private collectors around the world. Wildman’s work is exclusively sold in the US at Nickey Kehoe.
