AWHONN Post Birth Warning Signs (PBWS)

This online course provides participants with strategies to educate patients and their families to recognize POST-BIRTH warning signs and reducing their risk for postpartum complications. Learning objectives include analyzing the negative consequences of racial, ethnic, and geographic inequities and social determinants of health on maternal health outcomes and how they related to maternal mortality in the US and identifying potentially life-threatening complications using AWHONN’s POST-BIRTH acronym and when immediate attention is required.
