Photo shot at Lake Minnetonka, MN - USA   3-time award-winning scene of Mallards fighting winter.  As the lakes start to freeze up, ducks will start migrating to warmer places. In this unique scene, I spotted this activity from a distance with my drone. As I got closer I saw this view live from my screen and I was stunned by the massive amount of ducks gathered up and surrounded by ice in every direction. The key for the water not to freeze is to keep it moving and I bet this was among the last areas to freeze up on the lake.
