Don Gioacchino is an extra virgin olive oil produced from a centuries-old olive oil grove in Puglia. The farm preserves 220-year-old Coratina trees, the dominant cultivar of the region. The selection is certified DOP Castel di Monte. The name, Don Gioacchino, pays homage to Sabino Leone’s father, the founder of the farm. This is a very complex and harmonious extra virgin olive oil, noted as gold with slight green hues. The green almond prevails on the nose accompanied by hints of rosemary and mint along with artichoke, chicory, and lettuces. The taste i
