
Connecting with Kanji : Workbook for Intermediate Level
This is a really good intermediate-level kanji exercise book aimed at people studying Japanese around the level of JLPT N3. It presents a method of efficiently learning kanji and discovering what makes them interesting by encouraging the mental association of kanji that have identical components. The book presents 219 intermediate-level kanji, with each section covering eight or nine characters. There are also 101 characters that are to be learned along with the basic kanji. There are 26 units, each with a very easy-to-understand structure. The first section of each unit is a warmup that presents 17 intuitive pictographs and logograms along with basic information about each kanji. The next section is the main section, which provides illustrations and explanations to help learners remember a kanji structure.
