Spall Catcher™ Engineered for enhanced safety, the Spall Catcher is designed to work in tandem with steel armor plates to capture and contain bullet fragments or spall upon impact. The Spall Catcher delivers advanced protection from secondary projectiles that can result when a bullet strikes steel.  Spall Catcher consists of DuPont™ CoreMatrix™, a high-performance ballistic material engineered to deliver exceptional resistance against fragmentation threats and to minimize backface trauma. This unique monolithic fabric is created using advanced needle-felting processes, which incorporate Z-directional fibers throughout the material, resulting in an exceptionally robust structure.  Easy to integrate, simply place the Spall Catcher in front of your steel plate inside the carrier.
