This hardy allium grows to around 18 inches tall in well-draining dry to moist soils with full sun to part shade. They boast nodding pom-poms of cream, pale pink, and lavender blossoms in summer that are loved by native bees and butterflies. Nodding onion will gradually spread by seed and bulb off-shoots and are fairly deer-resistant due to the pungent onion scent. Can be used in the kitchen like chives!
