Aruncus dioicus / Goat's Beard

The stunning cream-colored flowers of Aruncus dioicus resemble coral growing atop green foliage. Goat’s Beard blooms early, in April to May, at a time when beneficial pollinating insects are emerging and in need of a good food source. The species name means that there are separate male and female plants. Males of this species are more showy, but females hold their own. The plants we have are unsexed, but should be a nice addition to your garden in any case. Plant Goat’s Beard in full sun to part shade, in medium to wet soils.
