Crackle Quartz Crystal Point Approximately 7cm tall x 2cm wide. Crackle Quartz aka Rainbow Quartz is a crystalline quartz that has been intentionally fractured to achieve its "crackled" look. This process requires us to heat translucent quartz to a high temperature, then suddenly quench it in cold water. The sudden cooling process causes a network of tiny fractures thought out the stone.  Crackle or Rainbow Quartz has a dazzling display of beautiful rainbows when placed in direct sunlight.
