Eupatorium purpureum - Sweet Joe Pye

Nothing says summer more than the beautiful, full pink blooms of Sweet Joe Pye. A magnet for bees, butterflies, birds and more - this species is a showstopper for everyone and every garden! Sweet Joe-Pye grows from a fibrous root system in meadows and woodland edges with full to partial sun, damp-to-dry moisture conditions. This is a native wildflower that grows well in the home garden as a tall backdrop. Can also be planted in winter during natural freeze/thaw cycles and early spring. Plant shallow, no deeper than 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep and lightly rake to work seed in.
