Oversize Primary Mirror diameters are greater than their listed aperture (e.g., the diameter of the 8-inch LX200-ACF is actually 8.25-inch). This additional 0.25-inch yields a wide, fully illuminated field-of-view. Schott Borofloat Glass Corrector Plate designed with outstanding thermal resistance, high-transparency, and mechanical strength. Losmandy-style dovetail machined for lightness and rigidity from aluminum stock and black anodized for tough corrosion-free surfaces.
