The fabric is used horizontally to reduce vertical shrinkage, and side ribs prevent horizontal shrinkage and provide ease of movement. This is a tough piece of clothing that will not be dented by heavy wear. The ribs on the sleeves and hem are slightly longer, reminiscent of vintage garments.
