The bamboo trunk is stitched and each leaf is individually die-cut. The coin case portion inside the lid is an image of an envelope. (See [Bamboo Binding Envelope]) Instead of a gusset, the three layers of leather are stitched three-dimensionally to increase the number of coins that can be stored. The coins are designed not to fall out by tightly wrapping the leather strap around them. [This wallet was completed through a process of trial and error, asking "How can I make a light and compact wallet? The design does not use any metal fittings, but instead uses a leather strap to wrap around the wallet. Three differently shaped leather sheets are sewn together while being pulled to form a three-dimensional shape. Designed to hold a large number of coins without a gusset.
