Cordyceps sinensis

Representative of Cordyceps sinensis! Cicadaspora cicadas are made into eraser stamps. We received a request for Cordyceps sinensis, a mushroom that grows from insects, and we chose the cicada mushroom. It is truly mysterious to see mushrooms growing from dead insects that have been defeated by fungal attacks. It is very difficult to find mushrooms, though, as the only part of the mushroom that can be seen when walking in the forest is the mushroom, I created this work with the hope of someday seeing them in the flesh. The dark brown color suits them well. By changing the ink, it is possible to stamp not only on paper but also on cloth and glass.
