Guidobono Langhe Nebbiolo 2023

Barolo on a budget is almost insulting to this elegant Nebbiolo made just outside the classified area. A really great value. Dreaming of one day being able to produce Barolo, the Faccenda family purchased this winery in 2003. The vineyards lie just outside of Monforte; the vines are 30/40 years-old, the soil is limestone heavy. Guidobono’s wines are textbook interpretations of the indigenous grapes of the Langhe: fruit-driven and juicy Barberas, an austere yet approachable Nebbiolo, and a structured and traditional Barolo.
