Nepenthes truncata 'SBG' BE-4001

An impressive species that never fails to attract admirers, with its broad heart-shaped leaves and tough enormous pitchers. It’s a reliable grower, being adaptable to varying conditions. This is probably a lowland form and produces large and extremely robust woody pitchers. This particular item was donated in-vitro by Singapore Botanic gardens, hence ‘SBG’ in the title. Nothing else is known about its provenance. Borneo Exotics had assumed that it was most likely a lowland form, but it grows well for them in their highland nurseries, so BE have since designated it as an intermediate grower. From a single clone out of microprop, donated by Singapore Botanic Gardens. Will be shipped potted.
