Palm in the Clouds

This painting is inspired by the iconic Southern California fan palm. Sometimes they are tall, sometimes short , sometimes skinny and sometimes with a mass of dry furry fronds hanging around their tops like a skirt. They are icons of Southern California. This lone California fan palm rises tall against pop inspired clouds, complemented with hot pinks, sunburst oranges and radiating yellows vibrantly illuminating the sky.
