Japanese Whisky Tasting Featuring the Mars Bakemono Series (Wednesday 02/12/25)

What a special event we have planned for the whisky enthusiasts! We are honored to have Ken Fredrickson, Master Sommelier and Managing Partner of High Road Wine & Spirits, in the store to preside over a tasting of the incredibly rare Bakemono series from Shinshu Mars, one of the very best small producers of whisky in Japan. The Bakemono series showcases single-barrel expressions from Shinshu Mars. There are six different labels that have been produced to date, and we will have a chance on this evening to taste all of them. Ken will also pour a couple other regular releases from this producer, so you have a chance to learn about their incredible work. In total, eight whiskies, each distinct, with a chance at the end of the tasting to purchase them. Ken has been incredibly generous with us, as typically we would only be able to get a couple bottles of these Bakemono bottlings upon release.
