Hand Carved Gourd Ornament

Gourd Carving (also known as 'mate burilado') is one of Peru's most traditional hand crafts, used as a means of cultural expression for over 3,500 years ago. Each gourd is meticulously hand-carved with intricate detail and tell a native Peruvian story or a parable from the Bible. Each is approx 3" high.  Not shown in picture, Each comes with a gold string attached so it can be used an ornament or displayed in the home throughout the year.
