Dark rose-wine standards are washed dark brass around their margins and lower portion of midribs. Wide gold contrasted styles push out from between the standards. Pumila spot plicata falls are difficult to describe. Hafts around beards are gold dotted caramel. Below these are washed dark rose-wine spots. Wide bands of brassy caramel are narrower at hafts; becoming wider midway and narrower again at bottom edge of falls. Large old gold beards add a slight calming effectto all this chaos. Form is very wide, round and ruffled. Grows to 14" and blooms late season. Iris rhizomes are best divided and transplanted after the plants finish blooming and have enough time to store nutrition in their roots.
