This cluster is rich brown Fluorite with iridescent faces, punctuated by delicate sharp blades of Celestite (or Celestine), a beautiful ice blue mineral which crystallizes in the orthorhombic system. It features unique and striking growth patterns—the dark brown fluorite cubes are well-formed, the flat tabular crystals are gemmy and ice blue (though many are broken or incomplete.) Fluorite and Celestite both may occur in a number of different color combinations, but this color combination is a signature of Clay Center, Ohio.
