Prehnite Epidote Stilbite Crystal Cluster, Mali—SM3

This fun little guy has a lot of personality! It is a cluster of unpolished, naturally formed botryoidal "bubbles" of the zeolite mineral prehnite. The bubble shape is a result of growing in a botryoidal (globular) mass. The prehnite is a very light lime green shade. In this specimen, deep olive green epidote strikes through the center of the cluster. The prehnite is also accented by pops of cream colored stilbite. This fun (and funny) piece self stands on a flat base—it’s a guaranteed conversation piece. This is an unusual piece, and would make an excellent display or meditation aid! Although orthorhombic, prehnite is most often seen forming variations of the botryoidal (globular) habit. Stilbite is a zeolite mineral that forms "wheat
